Students

Parking Services is currently sold out of Spring 2018 student parking permits, with the exception of evening-only, motorcycle/moped, and handicap accessible permits. (*Please note: if you are currently a resident Freshman or Sophomore student and do not have at least 60 cumulative credit hours, you will not be able to purchase a parking permit from the College of Charleston.) Students in need of parking may also contact the vendors listed on our Alternative Parking List.

Summer 2018

We will not have an application period in advance of the Summer terms. All permits will be sold at the Parking Services office beginning on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 9 AM (date subject to change). Summer permits will be valid beginning on the first day of Maymester classes, which is Monday, May 14, 2018. Please note that we never sell out of Summer permits, and we rarely sell out of any particular lot or garage over the Summer. If you do not need your Summer permit on 5/7/2018, you may purchase it any time after that date, and you needn’t worry that we will be sold out of spaces in the core of campus if you wait until later to purchase your Summer permit. Please see below for further details about purchasing Summer permits, in the section titled AVAILABLE PARKING & FEES – MAYMESTER AND SUMMER I AND II.

Fall 2018

The online application process for the Fall 2018 student parking permits will begin on April 11, 2018, and online applications will be available through Monday, June 4, 2018 at 5 PM (dates are subject to change). If you are currently enrolled for Spring 2018 classes and did not receive the email notice on 4/11/2018, please contact Parking Services at parkingservices@cofc.edu.

Student Eligibility

Students will be assigned parking based on the number of cumulative credit hours earned and on file with the Office of the Registrar at the time that assignments are made. In the event of identical credit hours earned, applications first received will have priority.

Students living on campus who have fewer than 60 cumulative credit hours earned and on file with the Office of the Registrar at the time that assignments are made are not eligible to apply for College parking.

Eligible resident students living in a Bull Street house or an odd-numbered Coming Street house may request on-street residential parking (CR).
